SILVER TONE Exquisite Brooch - Small Lucky White Heather with Bow and Faux Amethyst (SOLD)
First and MOST important this lovely little vintage brooch is actually in a silver tone metal finish! For some reason my photos of the brooch have resulted in a goldtone metal look. Next the tips of the white heather are a true white, not cream. I ought to have another go at taking the photos but this vintage jewellery thing keeps me so busy that I need to get this one on for you all to see! You always have your 'right of return' if any jewellery is not suitable in any way. However, I think that this brooch looks even better in reality in silver and white and I hope that whoever buys it will agree with me. Back to this nice little Lucky White Heather pin. This vintage brooch is from the famous 'Exquisite' jewellery Company. It is one of the Scottish Souvenir range , made in Birmingham in the 1960's by W.A.P.Watson but retailed through their Hope Street, Glasgow outlet and marketed throughout Scotland in the 1960's and 1970's. Measuring 1.5inches by a little over an inch this brooch is one of the smaller sized versions. The white heather is shown as five separate fronds on green stems. Both the white tips and the green were cold enamelled by hand. The classic Exquisite bow features here with a little glass purple stone, an imitation amethyst. The brooch is signed 'Exquisite' on the reverse and it fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.
