1960's Signed Exquisite Brooch - Scottish Thistles with Lucky White Heather (Sold)

This vintage brooch is from the famous 'Exquisite' jewellery Company.   It is one of the Scottish Souvenir range , made in Birmingham in the 1960's by W.A.P.Watson but retailed through their Hope Street, Glasgow outlet and marketed throughout Scotland in the 1960's and 1970's.  The Thistles and White Heather pin is on a gold tone metal.  The tops of the thistles have been coloured a bronzey purple, the leaves have been cold enamelled with green and the flowers on the 'lucky heather' have been finished in white.  There is a touch of red on the plaid pattern bow that is tied around the bunch.  The brooch is in very good condition , it measures 6cms by 4cms approximately.  The pin to the reverse closes with a secure 'rollover' type clasp.
