Vintage Silver and Marcasite Lizard Brooch(SOLD)

This silver and marcasite lizard has red gem eyes and looks as if he has just stopped walking along to look round!  His feet have little toes and engraved lines to make them look real and scaley!  Set with lots of genuine marcasites from his head to the tip of his nice long tail, he is made from sterling silver and is marked '925'. A Vintage item from the 1950's or 1960's the brooch measures 6cms (2.5ins) in length and is approx 3cms ( 1 inch) at its widest point.  It fastens with a secure 'roll-over' type clasp.  It is fun to wear groups of animal or lizard pins together but this guy won't disappoint if he is worn on his own!
