Vintage Miracle Brooch - Oval Brooch by Miracle set with Faux Carnelian Circa 1970's
This is a superb brooch with a generous faux carnelian glass cabouchon. It is mounted in a pewter finish with a lovely design of ferns cast all around. The brooch measures approx 1 inch by 1.25 inches. It is designed by 'Miracle' and has the 'Miracle' signature on the back. The key influences for Miracle are traditional Celtic designs which go back to antiquity and Victorian Pebble Jewellery. This was made popular by Queen Victoria when she visited Scotland and wore silver and gold jewellery set with the natural gemstones found locally, especially cairngorms and agates, citrines, rock crystals and amethysts.This piece fastens with a secure roll over type clasp. Perfect for collectors of Miracle jewellery or just very smart on a winter coat lapel.
