Vintage Jewelled Brooch circa 1930s to 1940s (SOLD)
Here we have a large vintage Pot Metal jewelled brooch dating to the 1930s early 1940s. Measuring 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches this is a bold statement jewel with the largest red glass leaf being approximately 1 inch by 1 inch at its widest points. The metal is silver tone with a patina built over time so it has a great antique look to it. So we have four individual leaves; vibrant red, blue, yellow and green with detailed veins and lots of bright small round gems in a pierced setting. The tiny glass jewels are pink, red, light blue, dark blue, yellow and mauve. The style is reminiscent of Mogul jewellery, the kind that Cartier imitated in the deco period. This lovely vintage pin is in good order.
