Vintage Italian Micro Mosaic Bar Brooch

Here is a very nice multicoloured Micro Mosaic bar brooch with a very intricate design.  The little glass fragments or 'tessarae' are set in a silver-tone metal with a pleasing dotted metalwork gallery around it.  The brooch measures 6.5cms by almost 1cm at the widest point in the middle.  It is marked 'Made in Italy' on the back so I would guess it is 20th Century, However the design and shape mean that it is definitely "Victorian revival"  in style.  The pin fastens with an old fashioned c type clasp.
