SOLD Alpine Flowers Brooch - Embroidered brooch from Austria or Switzerland (SOLD)

This is a sweet floral pin with a nice selection of Alpine flowers embroidered onto it.  There is a white Eidelweiss with a yellow middle, a blue Gentian and some small red flowers with green leaves for effect on a black fabric background. Dating from around the 1960's this is a most wearable embroidered brooch.  Oval in shape, it benefits from a decorative border which is pierced and has trefoiled claws which hold the panel of embroidery in place.  There is no overlay to the front so you can actually feel the texture of the stitchwork on the dome.  The metal is chromed and to the reverse has a decorated surface with a circled design.  The brooch is oval in shape, measures 1.5 by 1.25 inches and fastens with a guarded pin.  It is in Excellent order.
