SOLD A Monkey Brooch By Lea Stein of Paris - Black and Cream Chimp or Primate Pin

This 3-D Monkey Brooch is my personal favourite piece from all of the work of the famed Parisian Jewellery designer, Lea Stein. I have two in my own collection and could easily add this one to make a trio but how greedy that would be!  This monkey pin is finished in gorgeous laminates - the arms are plain shiny black and the face is both black pattern and cream with the ears and body also in cream ivorine. The ball eyes have layers of brown  and white and are like perfect miniatures of the beads that Lea Stein used to make. This cheeky primate Brooch is a fabulous item of costume jewellery and a real statement brooch for your wardrobe or collection. In a typical Chimpanzee pose with one hand over his head and his second hand hanging down he is ready for fun.  He has the cutest face with his round ball eyes, little  cream ears  and shiny black nose!   Lea Stein's brooches were first designed in the 1960s and are as popular now as they were back then.  This is a more recent design and in keeping with her Iconic Fox and Cat pins is made from cellulose acetate.

This contemporary Lea Stein Monkey brooch measures almost 2 inches by 2.75 inches approximately at its widest parts.  This is a cheerful choice and will look fabulous on denim, black or bright outfits.  The reverse of this brooch is finished in plain cream and black colours.  It has the traditional Lea Stein pin back with a roll-over type fastener. The piece is signed - 'Lea Stein, Paris'.
