SOLD. A Liberty Floral Dachshund Brooch by Lea Stein Paris

Here we have a most Collectable Dog Brooch - a cute little Dachshund Pin by Lea Stein of Paris.  This fab Dachsie Dog brooch is made of Rhodoid, a type of early plastic, so is light and easy to wear. It has the added bonus of incorporating Liberty ditsy floral fabric in its design. This vintage dog brooch is just delightful, pretty and perfect! It’s also technically difficult to achieve the layering technique but Lea Stein masters this to perfection! The  use of a fabric layer within the layers of cellulose acetate adds a wonderful, country charm to this pin. Colours in the fabric are blues and greens on a white ground. The super simple shape is instantly recognised as the Dachshund breed and its layered blue and teal coloured ear is instantly recognised as the work of Lea Stein. The brooch has the classic Lea Stein signature on its white metal pin, which fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.   On the reverse the brooch is plain white with just the little ear in a cloudy blue colour. This Owl brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is layered.  This dog has character and is one of Lea Stein’s  sweetest canine designs.  Here is more about her work.....
