Sold A Liberty Floral Buba The Owl Brooch by Lea Stein Paris

Here we have a most Collectable Owl Brooch, named Buba by his creator Lea Stein of Paris.  This fab Owl pin is made of Rhodoid, a type of early plastic, so is light and easy to wear. It has the added bonus of incorporating Liberty ditsy floral fabric in its design. This contemporary bird brooch is just delightful, pretty and perfect! It’s also technically difficult to achieve it Lea Stein masters this to perfection! The  use of a fabric layer within the layers of cellulose acetate adds a wonderful, country charm to this pin. Colours in the fabric are pinks, apricots, reds and green on a cream ground. 

There is a bright  black pupil to the eye with a pale amber  rim and then clever use of bright shiny green laminate for the outer eyes, beak and feet. On the reverse, this brooch is equally gorgeous with a classic red, green, and yellow pattern with just the little feet picked out in a pale green. The brooch has the classic Lea Stein signature on its white metal pin, which fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.  This Owl brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is layered.  Buba the Owl has character and it is easy to see why he is one of the popular designs from Lea Stein.  Here is more about her work.....
