SOLD Attila Cat Brooch by Lea Stein Paris - Silver Sparkle Cat Pin

This version of the classic Lea Stein Attila Cat has the added bonus of a layer of silver  fabric encapsulated into the design. This is one of the mysteries of the Lea Stein productions and continues to amaze and delight her afficionados today as the fabric layered brooches are harder to come by.  Lea Stein mastered the art of layering cellulose acetate plastics with cloth materials to create special finishes and this brooch shows this technique off to perfection.  Lea Stein's Cat designs are always so much fun and this particular brooch is very eye catching. The silver fabric has an almost fish scale look with its depth and it shouts out "Party" to me!  Attila is certainly a Puss with attitude, his watchful black eyes see everything. Is he about to pounce?  This Lea Stein cat is a delight and it will add a little bit of fun to any outfit. Cat lovers everywhere have great affection for these brooches.   This is a really quirky Cat brooch with dainty paws and a tail curving slightly up.  It really does have character!   The light nature of the cellulose acetate and the sensible positioning of the back pin ensures that the brooch will sit extremely well ( without flopping forwards) and that it is suitable to wear on lighter fabric garments as well as the lapel of a winter coat.  This gorgeous cat brooch measures 4 inches by 1.75 inches approximately.  The pin to the reverse fastens with a secure roll-over type clasp and bears the all important 'Lea Stein Paris' signature.  The reverse of the brooch is in plain white.
