SOLD - Buba The Owl - Brooch by Lea Stein Purple Owl Pin

Well does he look wise or does he look stern?  He certainly looks great on the lapel of your jacket or coat!  Here we have a collectable Owl Brooch, named Buba by his creator Lea Stein of Paris.  This fab Owl pin is made of Rhodoid, a type of early plastic, so is light and easy to wear.  This contemporary bird brooch is in shades of purple, mauve and lilac. It has been extremely difficult to catch the colour as it changes in all different lights. It is truly gorgeous!   The brooch features  a crushed velvet look to the owl’s body. With a beady black pupil and  irridescent pearlised pieces used for his eyes and the same pearl for the beak and feet. On the reverse, this brooch is like a rich velvet pattern laminate mainly white  in colour.The brooch has the classic Lea Stein signature on its white metal pin, which fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.  This Owl brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is layered.  Buba the Owl has character and it is easy to see why he is one of the popular designs from Lea Stein.  Here is more about her work.....
