Silver and Marcasite Art Deco Dress Clip (sold)
This stylish Art Deco Dress clip is made from '935' silver which makes it likely to have come from Continental Europe. It dates from the 1920's/1930's and is a superb example of genuine Art Deco jewellery. It is solid and well-made, set with 18 sparkly grey real marcasites. The Dress Clip was a very versatile piece of jewellery; it could be clipped over the lapel, through a button hole, over a hat band or fastened on the neckline of a frock. So stylish and yet so simple, this piece measures 2.5cms (1 inch) from point to top and is approx 2cms (.75 of an inch) at its widest point.
