Sea Themed Signed Miracle Brooch - Vintage Pin with Fish, A Seahorse, Scallop Shells and Hermit Crab! Version 2
Miracle created a range of sea themed jewellery including bracelets, pins, earrings and necklaces. These vintage pieces are fairly rare and I am always delighted if I am able to buy one or two. I keep a special look out for these and usually have something on offer for my jewellery customers. Here is a sea-life pin with a group of creatures depicted in a pewter coloured metal. We have two scallop shells, a starfish, a perfect tiny seahorse, two fish and a hermit crab all interspersed with pebble like jewels. The jewels are glass but have been designed to replicate natural mineral stones. We have a nicely veined blue oval faux Turquoise, A round faux Lapis Lazuli in deep rich blue with copper inclusions, a small domed cabouchon of both red carnelian style glass and also a cabouchon of faux Green marble. Then there is a "wild card" - an Art glass Jewel which is beautiful in its own right and is not trying to imitate a natural Jewel at all. It is a lovely oval shape and is a dark purple which looks almost black. This art glass gem has white and goldstone copper swirls. There is a strike of the Miracle signature on the back of the seahorse, The brooch is in Excellent condition fastening with a guarded 'c' type clasp. Measurements for this vintage signed Miracle brooch are 2 inches by 1.5 inches.
