Round Vintage Brooch - Embroidered Blue Flowers on Yellow (SOLD)

This brooch must have been a labour of love for its maker because the whole of the background on the piece is embroidered in individual yellow stitches - there must be hundreds of them!  Onto this yellow ground are some cheerful bright blue flowers and buds with green leaves and stems.  This vintage brooch is about the size of an old penny being an inch and a half in diameter.  It is mounted in a plain chromed metal frame and fastens with a back pin with secure roll-over type clasp.  I would estimate that this is a late 1940's early 1950's brooch.  It is in excellent condition and is a most wearable piece of jewellery.
