Ric the Terrier - 1950's Terrier Dog Brooch by Lea Stein of Paris - Golden with micro squares SOLD
Ric the Terrier is one of a range of cute dog brooches and pins designed by Lea Stein of Paris. Ric is a vintage 1950's style brooch that will appeal to all who adore Terrier dogs. A gorgeous gold background is peppered with tiny bright squares in a myriad of colours including metallic green, pink, blue and yellow. This large terrier dog brooch has black ears, nose and eye plus a collar with a little lozenge detail. This terrier pin is by the famous Parisian designer Lea Stein and it has her signature on the 'v' shaped pin fastening to prove it. This dog is facing to the left when pinned on and he would look super on the lapel of a jacket- very jolly indeed! Lea Stein collectors are often interested in the reverse patterns on their brooches and this brooch has a plain gold reverse with one black ear and a multi purple pink scrap on the other ear and nose. The Lea Stein Ric the Terrier Brooch measures about 9 cms by 6 cms. It is made of layered celluloid acetate or rhodoid. This is a contemporary design from Lea Stein who is famed for her jewellery, particularly her animal designs which have featured cats, foxes, dogs, birds and many other things over her history. Now for that history -
