Retro Owl Pin - Owl Brooch by Lea Stein of Paris (SOLD)

Well does he look wise or does he look stern?  He certainly looks great on the lapel of your jacket or coat!  Here we have an Owl Brooch, named Buba by his creator Lea Stein of Paris.  This Owl pin is made of Rhodoid, a type of early plastic, so is light and easy to wear.  This contemporary bird brooch is in mixed natural colours of black, grey, beige and white. In contrast the brooch uses strong bright colour for his eyes which are red, glitter green and black and then shiny red for the beak and feet. On the reverse, this brooch uses the same coloured laminate which has a feathery quality with just the little feet picked out in black.  The brooch has the classic Lea Stein signature on its white metal pin, which fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.  This Owl brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is layered.  Buba the Owl has character and it is easy to see why he is one of the popular designs from Lea Stein.  Here is more about her work.....
