Owl Brooch "Buba" by Lea Stein (SOLD) Bright Yellow Owl Pin

In a fashionable “stand out” yellow colour way this Owl pin is right on trend. Does he look wise or does he look stern?  He certainly looks great on the lapel of your jacket or coat!  Here we have a collectable Owl Brooch, named Buba by his creator Lea Stein of Paris.  This fab Owl pin is made of Rhodoid, a type of early layered plant based plastic, so is light and easy to wear.  This contemporary bird brooch is in shades of yellow, red and black. It has been extremely difficult to catch the colour as it changes in all different lights. It is truly gorgeous!   The brooch features  a crushed velvet look to the owl’s body with little lines in random directions adding pearly yellow flashes. With a beady black pupil and strong red laminate pieces used for his eyes and the same red for the beak and feet. On the reverse, this brooch is in an orange marbled laminate with gold for the feet.The brooch has the classic Lea Stein signature on its white metal pin, which fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.  This Owl brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is layered.  Buba the Owl has character and it is easy to see why he is one of the popular designs from Lea Stein.  Here is more about her work.....
