On hold1940s Lucite - Flower Basket Vintage Brooch -Large Sized Deep-Carved Brooch
What a lovely basket of blooms we have on this Vintage Lucite Brooch. The style is so right for the 1940s as the floral arrangement looks just like those seen in Hollywood films and household magazines of that era! The basket containing our flowers is like a bonnet in design and it is brimming over with green leaves and three open roses. The roses are soft salmon pink in colour which goes beautifully with the soft green leaves and golden lattice basket. This floral picture has been reverse-carved onto a slab of Lucite which measures approximately 1.75 inches by 1.5 inches by 0.25 inches. The Lucite brooch is further enhanced by its angled rim which ensures a reflection of the colours and also by cuts at each of the four corners of the brooch adding extra interest to the shape. Offered in excellent condition this brooch has an old fashioned tie pin style back in brass metal with a rolled over end guarding the pin. This is quite an unusual design.
