Miracle Creations Scottish Brooch - Vintage - Purple Central Jewel Thistle Detail (SOLD)
This is a great example of early Miracle jewellery. This brooch or pin which is in a darkened pewter tone metal, has four Scottish thistle heads with leaves and four swirled heart symbols incorporated into its design. These thistles, leaves and hearts are the setting for a large purple faux amethyst faceted glass jewel which measures one inch in diameter. The brooch is three dimensional with the jewel and thistle setting standing proud of the decorated outer. As is common with the Miracle brand this brooch has a decorated reverse side too! To the reverse there is an applied plaque with the words 'Miracle Creations' on it. The brooch fastens with a pin and old fashioned 'c' clasp. It is a substantial piece of jewellery with a good weight to it. It would look very good on tartan and plaid fabrics or would be a good addition to a collection of Miracle Jewelery. The brooch is offered in excellent vintage order as good as the day it was manufactured which I would estimate to be in the 1940s to early 1950s period.
