Miracle Brooch set with Faux Turquoise and Faux Opal (SOLD)

This Brooch, in a pewter finish , is signed on the reverse 'Miracle'. The key influences for Miracle are traditional Celtic designs which go back to antiquity and Victorian Pebble Jewellery. This was made popular by Queen Victoria when she visited Scotland and wore silver and gold jewellery set with the natural gemstones found locally, especially cairngorms and agates, citrines, rock crystals and amethysts. It is set with oval faux opals and round textured glass cabouchons which imitate turquoise, even down to the black veining!  The shape is lovely too!  A twelve pointed arrangement which looks a bit like a flower but has a cut out effect like a stained glass window. The brooch is a little over 1 and a half inches in diameter.  It fastens with a secure roll over clasp.  It is a vintage piece and is probably between 20  to 30 years old.
