Lea Stein Egyptian Cat Brooch in Tortoiseshell Browns - Cat Pin
Aloof and stately this cat brooch from Lea Stein knows he has a pedigree! This is the lovely Egyptian or Tall Cat brooch. What makes this particular cat pin so appealing is the tortoiseshell effect laminate which has been used to create it. The material has the ability to change in the light so expect anything from the paler caramels in bright light to darker browns as the light shifts. This brooch is a large size being 4 inch by 1.75 inches. The cat has contrasting ivory cream eyes and ears and looks out with a royal attitude. To the reverse this cat brooch is in a mix of finishes with the head showing similar colourings as the front but the body being in a gold effect. You will see a little wrinkling to the laminate but as true Lea Stein collectors know this is often part of the process in creating these works of art and isn't a fault at all. It has a silver tone v shaped bar and pin with secure roll over type clasp and the metal of the clasp bears the all important 'Lea Stein Paris' mark.
