Signed 'Miracle' this attractive goldtone brooch is set with a mix or glass and natural stones. the central 'coffee and cream' coloured cabouchon stone is glass and so are the banded red striped triangular pieces. The curved green marble inlaid stones however are Connemara Marble so it is likely that this Celtic brooch was part of an Irish inspired range from the Miracle Jewellery Company. Still manufacturing in Birmingham today Miracle have produced a superb range of British inspired jewellery across their many years of making. The company started out in 1946 and their work is much collected all around the globe today. I would think that this brooch was made in the last 30 years, possibly circa 1980s. The brooch is in good condition and it fastens with a secure 'roll over' type clasp. This Miracle pin is quite weighty and it measures 5 cms in diameter so I would see it sitting on a thick winter outfit, a chunky cardigan or on the lapel of a woollen coat or plaid wrap.
