Huge 1970s Cufflinks set with 'Dragon's Breath' Glass Jewels (Sold)
Here is a pair of interesting cufflinks with a glass jewel in each one. Dating from the 1970's these cufflinks are statement jewellery. The cabouchon glass jewels are like a 'Dragon's breath' stone with each one full of fire like colours. The background colour in the jewel is deep blue and you can see flashes of gold, red, green, mauve and silver from within. It is likely that these are metallic flecks in an art glass jewel. Each large cabouchon stone measures 2cms in diameter and has been set in a 'cogged' style border. These cufflinks bear the makers mark 'Hickok'. In good order with just a little plate loss in places they are really cool and would be great fun to wear.
