Hand Embroidered Brooch - Blue Tit on Branch circa 1940's - 1950s (SOLD)

Here we have the sweetest hand embroidered bird on a blossom branch.  I have called the birdy a Blue Tit but he has a yellow belly and his wings tail and body have shades of light blue and green all on a bright blue so I think he may be a fantasy bird after all!  He has a little black eye and a bright yellow beak and he is sitting on a pink blossom branch, the branch is brown with green leaves.  This is a handmade brooch with the embroidered stitches made on a cream linen fabric.  The brooch is oval in shape with a chromed rope twist frame.  This hand made vintage brooch dates from circa 1940 - 1950 when these items were most popular.  The brooch measures 2.5 inches by 1.75 inches and is in  good condition.  There is a little bit of plate loss to the chrome and the back of the brooch shows scratches and wear commensurate with its age.  These do not detract from this lovely vintage brooch.  By the way the brooch fastens with a secure roll over type catch.
