Fuschia Brooch - 1960's Flower Pin signed Exquisite - Vintage Brooches (SOLD)
Apologies for this vintage brooch appearing upside down - gremlins in the works I am sure! That said you can certainly wear your brooch anyway you choose and I do have a habit of using several floral pins together to make a very jaunty display on my lapel. With its bright colours and attention to detail this vintage 1960's flower brooch is a sure winner. Vintage floral brooches are always very sought after and the signed Exquisite flower pins seem to have a real interest for serious collectors.This is a cold enamel Fuschia pin by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England. It was one of their range of Birthday Flower Brooches introduced and extremely popular during the 1960's. These pins came in two sizes with a flower for every month of the year! This is the larger sized one! The Company also had a range of Leaf pins and matching earrings, as well as many other lines in quality costume jewellery. The Fuschia Brooch is the pin for July . It has a silvery gold tone finish and has the classic "bow" tied around the bunch of flowers which features on many of these designer pins in the 11960's Birthday Series. Because these pieces were hand finished, you get marked variations in the colours. This one has soft pastel colours with contrasting Kelly Green Leaves with the pink and mauve on the flowers themselves. It is in good vintage condition and suffers from a tiny speck of paint loss on one of the pink petals. This doesn't detract from its appeal and it is ready to be pinned onto your lapel to add a touch of colour and style. What a great gift for anyone who has a July Birthday or just because you like it! Approximate measurements are 6.5cms (2.5ins) by 4cms (1.5ins). This item fastens with a rollover type clasp.
