Fun Art Deco 'Oranges and Leaves' Necklace (SOLD)

A  fabulous, fruity little necklace from the 1930's, this beauty features five orange glass beads intersperced with chromed  engraved metal leaves, elaborate pressed filigree bead caps and chrome bar spacers.  Likely to be Bohemian or French, this necklace is typical of the wacky and fun jewellery created in the Art Deco period.  The largest 'orange' is a bead of around 10 mms in diameter with the tinest glass 'orange' is just 3mms approx.  This vintage necklace measures a fraction over 16.5 inches in length.  It is in excellent conditon with no wearing to the chrome parts except for the tinest wear at the bolt ring clasp and ring where it would have been handled and fastened!  Vintage costume jewellery will often show this genuine sign of use over time and it makes it all the more precious and collectable.
