Faceted Crystal necklace Circa 1910 - 1920 with Collet set jewels (SOLD)
This delicate lead crystal necklace has a timeless appeal. It dates from the end of the English Edwardian period up to the mid twenties and is in a style known as 'Transitional'. There are seven facet cut unfoiled crystals interspeced with decorative bar spacers on this vintage necklace. There is one large central crystal which is 12mms in diameter and a further 6 cut crystals each measuring 8mms. Each stone has been collet set ( which means set in a band so that no claws cover the stone). This beautiful piece of antique jewellery is in excellent condition with all the stones bright and flawless and with many facets which make them shine like diamonds! There are no hallmarks on the necklace but it is likely to be unmarked silver. This gorgeous antique necklace measures 17 inches in length and fastens with a small bolt ring clasp.
