Exquisite Vine Leaf Brooch in Smaller Sized Version - 1960s Enamel Brooches

There is something really appealing about  signed Exquisite brooches.  The vintage jewellery produced under the Exquisite name is now very  collectable and it also great fun to wear. This lovely cold enamel brooch is one of a range of a dozen Leaf brooches and earrings designed in the 1960's by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England. They made these gorgeous leaf brooches in two sizes and this is the smaller sized version.  Exquisite was a brand belonging to the manufacturer W.A.P.Watson.   The Vine Leaf brooch is Design No: 914746 in the range. All of the Exqusite designs were registered to prevent other companies copying! This vintage vine leaf brooch features a bold veined leaf with nice Autumn colouring - of pale yellow, ochre and light brown. It has been very hard to capture the actual colour of this piece as the light really gives different results to the look of the brooch.  There is a little twig with the vine leaf curling its tendrils round it too.  The metal has a  golden toned finish and on the reverse of the pin  the signature 'Exquisite' can be clearly seen. The cold enamel was hand painted onto the pieces which is why the colour ways vary such a lot. It is in good vintage order, a few tiny nicks to the surface painting commensurate with age. The brooch fastens with a secure roll over type c clasp fastening. This vintage brooch measures approximately 4.5cms by 3.5cms. It is very wearable and would be just the thing for your vintage costume jewelry collection!
