Exotic Green and White Vintage Necklet and Earrings - 1950s - 1960s (Sold)

This necklace, with its matching screw-on earrings,  is made up of a variety of hand made beadwork, there must be over 200 individual beads in all!  There are white glass round beads, tiny white glass seed beads and early plastic white leaves with shaped green beads with black tips.  Some of these interesting old beads have been stitched onto a cord fabric and mounted onto earrings in a tropical leaf and flower arrangement.  The effect is super and very individual!  The white leaf and exotic flowers on the necklace measure 1.5 inches at their widest points and the earrings 1.5 by a little under an inch.  The necklet itself is almost 17 inches in length and fastens with a hook  and chained bead arrangement which allows for some slight variation in length to suit the neckline of your dress.  This set of vintage costume jewellery is marked 'West Germany' on the hook and it is typical of the post war jewellery which was very fashionable in the 1950's to the early 1960's.  The metal components are in in a silvertone finish and this set is in good order.
