Edwardian to 1920's Venetian Bead Necklace - Blue Satin Glass with Pink Roses (SOLD)

This vintage necklace consists of 15 plain small blue satinglass beads and seven larger blue satin glass beads which have pink roses and green leaves worked into them.  This kind of hand made art glass bead originated in Venice and requires a skilled craftsmen to create each delicate flower in each very special bead.  The necklace itself is from the first quarter of the 20th Century maybe as early as 1910 but possibly as late as 1925.    The beautiful hand made beads have been joined together with engraved white metal panels to make a most fetching tassle necklace.  Each  glass bead  has a metal bead cap and the necklace would also have been assembled by hand all those years ago.  This is a gorgeous old necklace and the beads in it are collectors items in their own right.   The largest beads are just over 1cm in diameter whilst the little ones are just over .5 of a cm in diameter.  The necklace measures 15.5 inches around the neck  with the beaded  tassle dangling to almost 3 inches in length.  The necklace was particularly hard to  photograph as some shots make the metal look gold.  The metal is a plated white metal and the necklace is in very good condition and it fastens with a bolt ring clasp.
