Crown Trifari Collar Clip in the form of a Winged Bug (SORRY, THIS IS SOLD)

This delightful clip is by the American Company Trifari and is very collectable as it has their famous ' Crown Trifari ' signature mark.  This flying insect is set with sparkling white diamante and has a yellow and red glass jewelled body.  The piece is finished in Rhodium plate and black cold enamel and is in good vintage condition.  The only visable flaw is some loss of cold enamel on one of the bug's knees but he still looks 'the bee's knees' to me! From the tip of his antennae to the tip of foot he measures approx 4.5cms (1.75 ins) whilst his wing span is 5.5cms (just over 2 ins).  This 1930's/1940's piece was designed as a collar clip and has just two sharp prong pins on a closing clip to fasten it to the coat or jacket .
