Blossom Brooch (sold)

Is it apple blossom or maybe cherry blossom? This vintage jewel has lovely detailed hand embroidered work and is an extremely pretty brooch!  It features two fully open flowers and two buds embroidered in a soft peach colour with yellow middles.  The leaves are a neat green, finished with brown stems, all on an ivory coloured background.  This items dates from the 1940's or 1950's.  It is mounted in a circular silver coloured chromed gallery with a rope design border.  It measures 1.75 inches (approx. 4.5 cms) in diameter.On the reverse it has a secure rollover type 'c' clasp.  The hand embroidered work is protected by a plastic type material.This lovely vintage brooch would make a good addition to a collection of flower pins or handworked or embroidered pieces.
