Baby Blue - Small Bohemian Filigree Brooch on New Silver Plaited Hair Band

Another lovely old vintage brooch sits well on this new faux leather silver coloured head band!  The brooch here is a Bohemian Pressed Filigree Brooch from the 1915 - 1925 time span - a little later than the English Edwardian Era yet not really having the style of the Art Deco times!  This vintage brooch is in a 'transitional' style.  Made of pressed filigree with a silvertone finish, the brooch has 17 individual blue facted glass crystal jewels.  Every one of these lovely blue jewels has been claw set in place by hand to give a layered jewelled effect.  This vintage brooch, which measures 3.6cms by 3cms, has just been placed across the new hair band with the little teeth of the band keeping it in place.  The band itself has a plaited finish and lends itself to wearing over the crown of the head or across the forehead, Flapper style, if wished.  A delightful ' Something Blue' for the Bride's outfit!
