Attractive Vintage Miracle Brooch with Open Centre
Important Note: This brooch is silver tone, in the photos it appears slightly goldtoned. This is a really good example of signed Miracle jewellery with the flexibility to be worn as a brooch or a pendant thanks to the fixed loop on the reverse of the brooch. I would describe this vintage brooch as being in the Anglo Saxon style as it is like a shield in its design. It has the pewter coloured white metal finish often used by Miracle on their jewellery. To the front the metal of the Miracle brooch is decorated with dots , dashes and rope like decoration and the reverse of the piece bears a textured finish and the all important 'Miracle' signature. There are eight glass jewels set in this brooch. First there are four round cabouchon jewels in a pale green glass, they have been made to look like a soft connemara marble stone. The other four stones are flat half moon shaped jewels and each one is different. The first stone is a faux turquoise, the next a faux red carnelian, the next two are a black and white stone and an orange, brown and white stone to imitate striped jaspers or agates. I often read descriptions of Miracle jewellery on Ebay or other sites where the stones are described as real semi-precious gemstones but so much of Miracle jewellery was made with clever imitations which are usually glass and very convincing fakes they are too! This nice vintage Miracle pin measures 5 centimetres in diameter and has an open centre. It is in excellent condition and it fastens with a secure roll over type clasp. Add this Miracle brooch to your collection, it would look fabulous on a dark coloured coat, jumper or jacket.
