Art Deco Russian Cane Glass Bead Necklace with Chromed Spacers (SOLD)

This is a classic Art Deco necklace measuring just over 15 inches in length, making it perfect to wear inside a blouse or shirt neck.  The beads are a very soft lemon in colour with the main shaped beads being Russian Cane Beads - which means they were made from canes and rods of glass which have been worked and then cut and faceted on the corners.  This technique is not exclusive to Russia, indeed these beads most probably originate from Czechoslovakia or Bohemia.  They have been spaced using Chrome finished findings and have little yellow faceted crystal beads too.  The condition is excellent and almost mint which is great for something dating from the 1930s.
