Art Deco Mother of Pearl and Chrome Cufflinks (SOLD)
Dating from between about 1915 and 1935 these cufflinks have all the classic style associated with the Art Deco era. The Antique Cufflinks have an Octagon shape on one side with a shiny piece of real mother-of-pearl held in a decorated chromed metal rim with a neat 'cross over' effect in the centre, a little like a stitched-on button. The other side of the link is a shiny chromed metal elongated oval shape and the cufflinks connect on a chain link to the reverse. This design of cufflink is often repeated in waistcoat buttons and collar studs too. Smart and timeless, these cufflinks will do justice to your dinner suit or even formal wedding attire. Approximate measurements for these cuff links are just about half an inch in diameter for the metal edged mother of pearl part and just under three quarters of an inch by one quarter of an inch (at the widest middle part) for the bar back part. The chain that holds the two parts together makes the extended link approx three quarters of an inch from front to back. They come to you in a Black Faux Leather Antique Style Presentation Box with a neat gold 'dot and dash' decoration tooled onto it. The cufflink box has a black velvet and white satin lining and it fastens with a goldtone clip over clasp.
