Art Deco Green Celluloid Haircomb with studding and diamante decoration(SOLD)

Here is a true Art Deco haircomb in a most unusual style.  The comb is made of green celluloid, an early plastic.  This piece is circular with a small cut away at the top and lots of cut through sections to give a stunning effect.  I would assume that the comb is French Art Deco as the design is very strong and in France they made lots of early plastic jewellery and accessories using metal studding and inlaid Diamante - just the kind of decoration on this lovely antique hair ornament. 

The circular decorative part sits cleverly on a small toothed comb which would hold this hair decoration in place.  Although this collectable accessory dates from between 1925 - 1935 approximately it is in very good condition and has a totally modern and timeless appeal.  Its design means it will sit in a flapper style hairdo in the same way as a hairslide might.  This neat hair comb measures approximately 2.5inches by 2 inches.
