Art Deco 1920s to 1930s Coral Colour Scarf Ring - Celluloid with carved decoration
This is decorative scarf ring from the past in a fab coral colour. Dating to the Art Deco era - 1920s to 1930s it is made from the collectable early plastic celluloid. It is an orange colour and it benefits from an open fretwork design which has a paire of naive slash cut flowers. This type of early plastic jewellery; often termed 'carved' is among the most desirable to collectors of Bakelite era pieces. So this scarf ring measures almost an inch and a half in length and it has a nice generous circle to thread through your scarf. You use it like a toggle or woggle to simply slip over your scarf ends and retain them in a neat way. Perfect for silks, pashminas and other fine fabric scarves. The scarf ring is in excellent condition.
