Another Vintage Exquisite Brooch - 1960's Copper Beech Brooch by Exquisite
This lovely cold enamel brooch is one of a range of Leaf brooches designed in the 1960's by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England. All of their designs were registered to prevent other companies copying! I have been advised that the company behind the brand, W.A.P. Watson, used designers from Paris to come up with their popular ranges, but I haven't managed to find this fact documented in writing yet! The leaves on this great vintage pin are an almost metallic red with yellow and green flashes and the beech nuts are picked out in yellow with their little cups in green. This is a super collectable and is a really great vintage costume jewelry find! It measures approximately 2.75 inches by 2.5 inches and is in good vintage order. There are a few areas of paint loss - specks on the leaves where bits of the cold enamel has flecked off; they are not too bad and do not detract in any way from this brooch. You can see them in the photos. The good news being that this brooch is a better price because of this. So if you don’t mind your vintage looking a bit vintage this could be your bargain! The brooch fastens with a secure roll-over type clasp.
