A Pair of Enamel and Marcasite Exotic Flower Brooches - Late 1950's/Early 1960's (SOLD)

This is a most exciting vintage jewellery discovery - a pair of gorgeous cold enamel floral pins from the late 50's to early 60's. Both are rhodium plated metal set with real marcasite stones. Each brooch has been hand finished with cold enamel work.  The flower heads are lily-like and are coloured in flame tones of yellow, orange and red with contrasting green leaves and darker stamens and bud.  These brooches are very similar to signed 'Exquisite' pieces but they are not as far as I can tell.  The larger brooch is marked with the letters 'BJL' and also BC73 which are stamped on it whilst the smaller pin is unmarked but has the numbers '687' scratched onto it.  The larger brooch measures 3 inches by 1.5 inches and the smaller brooch is 2 inches by 1inch approximately. Both are in excellent condition and each fastens with a secure roll-over type clasp. Individually each vintage brooch is stunning but worn together they are knockout and are sure to brighten up any outfit.  The price given is for the pair of pins.
