19th Century Victorian Silver Cufflink Converted Earrings - Anchor Design
An Anchor is the detail on this pair of Sterling Silver Earrings which are a conversion from Victorian Cufflinks. Made of unmarked Sterling Silver the earrings are perfect little examples of the fashion for up-cycling precious things. The Oval shaped earrings show a plain raised Anchor on a deeply engraved background. The earrings have a pierced design with a sterling silver retainer. Each oval earring measures 1.5cms by 1.25cms. The earrings, which come in the box photographed, are in very good condition. The Victorian Cufflink earrings are easy to wear and very unusual; they would show allegiance to the Navy or Seafaring, Boating sports or would be great fun to wear on a seaside holiday. They would also make a unique gift for anyone named ‘Hope” as the Anchor has long been the symbol of Hope.
