1960's Signed Exquisite Horse Chestnut Brooch - Conker Pin ( Number Three) SOLD

This lovely cold enamel brooch is one of a range of a dozen Leaf brooches and earrings designed in the 1960's by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England.  All of their designs were registered to prevent other companies copying!  This Horse Chestnut pin features a soft caramel brown conker sitting in a blue-green prickly case  with a variegated light caramel brown and lime green horse chestnut leaf behind. The first picture gives the truest colour representation for this horse chestnut pin.  The metal has a gold tone finish to the branches and stems of the leaves and the reverse of the pin where the signature 'Exquisite' can be seen.  The cold enamel was hand painted onto the pieces which is why the colourways vary such a lot and this gives each brooch in the range its unique character!  This lovely 1960's vintage brooch is in good condition but does have paint loss on the tip of one of the curling leaf points. It fastens with a secure roll over type c clasp fastening.  This vintage brooch measures approximately 3inches by 2.5 inches.  It is very wearable and would be just the thing for  seasonal wear in autumn.  Why not add it to your vintage costume jewelry collection?
