1960's Signed 'Exquisite' Cherries and Leaves Brooch At BARGAIN PRICE! SOLD

This is a great cold enamelled metal brooch by 'Exquisite'.  The leaves are two tone colours with a smattering of red brown over the green.  The juicy red cherries are a little scratched in places so this one will be at a bargain price!  The little scratched bits can be seen in the photo and they really don't detract from the piece at all! There is a soft goldtone metal finish to the branch and to the reverse of the brooch where the 'Exquisite' signature is clear to see.  The brooch which measures 2.5 inches by 2 ins ( 7cms x 5cms) fastens with a secure roll over type clasp. This  piece is from the Birmingham manufacturer W.A.P. Watson who were the owners of the 'Exquisite' brand.  I have been advised that the Company made costume jewellery from 1914 - 1970 but I have not found any written evidence to prove this information.  However, it is certain that the designs of their popular 'Trees of the month' range of jewellery was protected by design registration in the early 1960s.  This would be so lovely to wear on a vintage jacket and would be a jolly addition to your costume jewellery collection!
