1960's Ivy Leaf Brooch - Variegated Leaf Pin By Exquisite England (SOLD)

These leaves on this lovely vintage Ivy brooch are really natural looking with lots of variegated colour and raised veins on the three leaves.  It is one of a range of a dozen Leaf brooches and earrings designed by W.A.P Watson trading as Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England.  All of their designs were registered to prevent other companies copying!  The metal has a gold tone finish to the branches and stems of the leaves and the reverse of the pin where the signature 'Exquisite' can be clearly seen. This is the larger sized Ivy Leaf in their range which offered two sizes of this style.  The cold enamel was hand painted onto the pieces which is why the colourways vary such a lot.  This one has the three  variegated green/brown leaves with a touch of  gold tone around the edges.  It is in good vintage order just a flea bite of paint loss to the front and some crazes to the reverse  if you examine it carefully but nothing to detract from its desirability. These factors will lower its price and  the price makes it very desirable! It has a metal pin with a secure roll over type c clasp fastening.  This vintage brooch measures approximately 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches.  It is very wearable and would be just the thing for your vintage costume jewelry collection!
