1960s Golden Vine Leaf Pin - A Signed Exquisite Brooch - Ochre Yellow Coloured Centre

What a lovely leaf brooch this is! It is fashionable right now to wear the leaf pins and floral brooches that were so popular in the 1950s and 1960s.  TV shows like 'The Hour' where Bel sports a stylish golden leaf brooch on her tailored suit and series like 'Mad Men' with Joanie always wearing her statement pins and earrings have added to the appeal. This vintage vine leaf brooch features a bold silvery gold veined leaf with nice bright yellows and ochre colouring - the outer edges to the leaf are pale yellow and the middle area is a deeper tone of yellow. There is a little caramel brown twig with the vine leaf curling its tendrils round it too. The metal has a silvery goldtone finish and on the reverse of the pin  the signature 'Exquisite' is there on the centre of the leaf.. The cold enamel was hand painted onto these pieces of jewelry which is why the colourways vary such a lot.  This Exquisite pin is in  very good vintage order with a secure roll over type c clasp fastening. This vintage brooch measures approximately1.75 inches by 1.5 inches. It is very wearable and would be just the thing for your vintage costume jewelry collection! The vintage jewellery produced under the Exquisite name is now very collectable and it also great fun to wear. This lovely cold enamel brooch is one of a range of a dozen Leaf brooches and earrings designed in the 1960's by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England. Exquisite was a brand belonging to the manufacturer W.A.P.Watson. All of the Exqusite designs were registered to prevent other companies copying!
