1960's - 1970's Velvet Beaded Evening Bag - Tree of Life Pattern(SOLD)

Here we have a very smart Evening purse in Black synthetic velvet with gold and silver glass seed bead decoration.  This one was made out in Hong Kong, where they produced lots of wonderful hand-beaded bags for export to the Commonwealth. The design is so simple, yet so effective .  Rows of alternating gold and silver beadwork with a 'Tree of Life' panel up the centre.  The pattern is repeated on both sides of the bag. The bag is lined with a black silky textured material, with that all important pocket to put your mirror in! Oh, and it has the 'Made in Hong Kong' label inside. The frame is a patterned gold tone, fastening with a 'kissing' type clasp and suspended on a lightweight gold coloured aluminium chain which can be used doubled to make a short handle, or long for over the shoulder.  You simply adjust the chain through the two loops on top of the frame! The size of the bag itself  is approximately 6 inches by 6.5 inches and the chain is 15 inches when doubled up and can work at a length of approximately 25 inches in total should you want the 'shoulder bag' option. It is in great vintage condition.
