1950's/1960's Handbag Hanger in original box (Sold)

This is a great item for devotees of the Vintage Handbag and Purse.  The 'Handbag Hanger' is a useful little device designed to enable your bag or purse to be neatly and safely suspended on the edge of the table when you are out on that all important dinner date! No anxiety about where that bag has gone to; no concerns about your elegant antique purse or latest designer handbag being kicked about on the floor; just a ladylike and elegant solution to keeping your handbag safe and clean!  The 'Handbag Hanger' is finished in gold and silver tone metal with engine-turned engraving on the decorative side and green grippy material on the reverse.  It comes in its original box which is brown leatherette with oyster colour satin inside and a gilt logo with the letters 'HW' under a swagged crown. The best bit, in my opinion, is the printed card which accompanies the hanger - it declares it to be 'Small & Sturdy, Convenient for All Occasions' and depicts the handbag hanger in use at a table.  An elegant couple are seated whilst the waiter shows the gent a bottle of wine for his approval - pure nostalgia!  Use it or just own it as part of your vintage fashion collection.
