1950's Necklace - Amethyst Glass Drops (SOLD)

This is a very pretty necklace from the 1950s.  It has 9 individual teardrop shaped faux amethysts and 37 little round faceted stones which together make for a delightful piece of vintage jewellery.  The metal has a strong silver appearance, so is most likely silver plated. Every stone is cupped and has been individually claw set by hand.    The necklace, which fastens with a bolt ring type clasp, measures a fraction over 16 inches with the little mauve droppers being almost half an inch including the stone from which they are suspended.  To give you a better idea of how lovely this looks on, it is photographed on my life size mannekin. This is a very good quality piece of  original vintage costume jewellery which will add a touch of glamour to any outfit.
