1950's American Designer Diamante Bracelet signed WEISS (SOLD)

This is a most glamorous and glitzy bracelet from the sparkling 1950s era.  Made by the much-collected USA company 'WEISS' it has all the quality that you would expect from this maker and is marked with their signature name on the clasp. Albert Weiss had been working for the American Coro Company when he started his own jewellery business in 1942.  The Weiss Company traded until 1971 producing popular diamante and rhinestone jewellery of good quality and design.  This vintage bracelet  dates from the 1950's era when rhinestone and diamante cocktail jewellery was very much in fashion.  The bracelet consists of 34 individually hand set diamante glass jewels.  There are 18 paired small round jewels plus eight each of the larger round jewels and  baguette shaped diamante.  All the stones are shiny bright and are well claw set, the larger rounds having ten individual claws holding each glass jewel in place whilst the other gems have four claws each.  The stones are set into a white metal, rhodium finished bracelet which fastens with a fold-over type clasp.  This diamante vintage bracelet measures just 1 cm wide and is 6.5 inches in length making it suitable for a small  to medium wrist.  It would be  an excellent piece of jewellery for bridal or party wear. It would make a splendid addition to a collection of  American signed designer jewelry and would match well with other signed Weiss or good quality diamante jewellery.
